You’ll play as a Remote Forensics Investigator who solves cases in a Nanodeck – a place where crime scenes are reconstructed to the smallest detail.

Start with a seemingly straightforward case. As you investigate you’ll discover there’s much more to this case than meets the eye – evidence going back hundreds of years, Norse legends and folklore, failed relationships, abused technologies, and more. Dive deeper and figure out why hundreds of people have disappeared in Iceland without a trace in the last 150 years. Most at sea.

LAWD
Because this case takes place in a challenging environment, the Remote Forensics Bureau has created LAWD. A highly capable Land, Air, and Water Drone capable of investigating above and below water day and night.

Crime Scenes
There are four unique crime scenes. For each, you’ll need to find the Perpetrator, Motive, and Weapon or Instrument.

Perpetrator
Potential perpetrators, or persons of interest, are discovered through hacking smartphones, listening to audio fragments, and viewing Biotraces. Anyone can be a suspect.

Motives
Motives and intentions are discovered in the same way but through conversations, text, email, and other similar ways. Some individuals may be expressing emotions while others may have real intent. Some individuals may even be disguising their motives. It’s up to you to decide.

Weapon or Instrument
Potential weapons are physical evidence, which can be found throughout the crime scene. Inspecting an object will reveal forensic evidence, which may link to other pieces of physical evidence, and eventually to a person. As you investigate more, the forensic evidence and links will become stronger. Following this trail in the Mind Map can reveal the connections and paths a person has taken.

Finalize Investigation
Once everything is pieced together, you’ll recommend charges to the District Attorney. You’ll be presented with headlines of how your investigation was concluded and how your charges affected the people involved. You’ll also receive a grade on your investigative efforts.

Instruments of Destruction features an advanced physics-based destruction system. You can demolish every structure in the game piece by piece thanks to a fully interactive physics system, and every object in the world interacts with the destruction in some way. Each element of the world complements the destruction system and interacts with each other and together they create a physical, visceral world to play with.

NOTE: Text below describes version 1.0. Arriving May 10th, Version 1.0 will reset campaign progress, but custom vehicles/settings will not be affected.

Play through 50+ missions and high-score challenges using a huge variety of vehicles. Each mission has its own distinct vehicle custom-made to maximize the fun, and all are playable with either a keyboard or gamepad (some specific vehicles also support optional mouse aiming). Vehicles include a flying bulldozer, a tank with quad rocket launchers, an ornithopter with a grappling hook that tears a building down piece by piece, and many more. Join Sharpe Industries as a vehicle test pilot and journey across the world to remote islands and outposts where everything needs to be destroyed.

Instruments of Destruction also includes a powerful vehicle editor and an epilogue campaign that teaches you the ins and outs of building your own vehicle. The epilogue campaign features over 25 missions (and challenges) where you’re in charge of creating a vehicle that can complete the given objectives. The missions gradually introduce you to vehicle building, but you can always load any previously unlocked or saved vehicle if you just want to jump in a blow stuff up.

Finally, there’s a Sandbox mode where there are no limits or objectives. You can load any unlocked map and vehicle (or build your own) and get immersed in the physics and destruction with no pressure or objectives. Between Sandbox mode, the 3-star scoring system, the massive lineup of included vehicles, the powerful vehicle editor, and the thousands of vehicles on the Steam Workshop, you’ll never run out of ways to enjoy Instruments of Destruction.

Combat isn’t restricted to weapons. Players can change the weather, automate turrets, and harness chemistry to inflict damage on bosses or morph the world around you!

Fix your rocket and take to the skies. Diverse planet clusters with different biomes await you. Fly around an endless procedurally-generated universe and expand your horizons. Find new resources, fight new bosses, and save planetary systems from certain doom by completing procedurally generated objectives. The universe is your oyster.

Minicology’s event system will keep you on your toes — each planet type has unique simulated weather and event rotations. A planet might not be the same the next time you visit! Meteor impacts will have you racing against the clock, while icy planets feature bitterly cold nights that leave you chasing for shelter — but certain rare materials will only be available during these dangerous events. Make sure you’re prepared!
