Cantata takes you to a far off planet filled with vibrant colours, striking characters and a unique soundtrack that seems to echo through the galaxy. Each chapter of the campaign plays through as unique stand alone stories allowing you to uncover the history of each faction. Each map holds secrets for players to uncover which can aid you across the campaign – you’ll need to do effective recon to determine the best approach in battle. Beware though, the planet of Shoal isn’t one to let you idly move across its surface. Just like any other faction, the planet itself takes a turn every round, giving it the ability to fight back against the war on its surface with weather, fauna, and other mysteries.

Your magic combination also plays a vital role in the battle. Even within the same collaboration of troops, strategies vary depending on which magic spells you cast and in what order.

There are 6 races that you can select for your troops. Each race has its own strengths and weaknesses.

You can overcome the weaknesses of your race with the skills and magics of other races.

To succeed at the beginning of the expedition, some races need to focus on using their unique strengths while others need to work on overcoming their weaknesses.

There is another way to strengthen your troops and magic skills… RELICS!

RELICS provide special effects and synergies in ways that can’t be obtained from other sources.

With relics, you can increase your income during the expedition, add beneficial effects before starting a battle, strengthen certain types of troops & magic powers, and weaken your enemies.

You can only activate a limited number of relics, but you can replace them at any time except during battle.

Banchou Tactics is a strategy turn based role-playing game in the Japanese Gangster High School (Banchou).
