This game is a clusterfuck. Here are the problems you may, and most probably, WILL face.

  • It works ONLY on Windows 10 build 1803. It won’t work on earlier or later builds, like 1703 or 1903
  • It doesn’t SAVE your progress once you close the game. I’ve made special BAT-files, which partially solve this problem, but the solution is still half-ass
  • I can’t guarantee that any language but English will properly work – in example the Russian version shows NO TEXT in menus, so it’s impossible to play. And yes, all Russian (and other languages files) are present – that may be some Windows font problem
  • The game most probably will crash here and there – it’s technical state is still very bad. For me it crashed on campaign start, on levels loading, you name it
  • By saying all this I’m warning you about using this repack. Download and install it at your own risk
  • I DO NOT provide ANY support for this repack and I won’t answer any questions about it

Repack Features

  • NOTE! This game works ONLY on Windows 10 x64, build 1803 AND NOT LATER (i.e. on 1809 the game won’t run at all). I also recommend you to install Windows Store, Xbox and Xbox Identity applications for crack to work. Also virtualization (Hyper-V Support) must be set off either in OS settings and/or in BIOS. If the setup won’t turn on Developer Mode on your OS, turn it on manually
  • Based on Windows Store v1.10 release: 58 GB (Thanks to mercs213!)
  • Modified CODEX crack from Forza Horizon 3 applied over
  • 100% Lossless & MD5 Perfect: all files are identical to originals after installation
  • NOTHING ripped, NOTHING re-encoded
  • Selective Download feature: you may skip downloading and installing of attract video, MP files and language files you don’t need
  • Significantly smaller archive size (compressed from 58 to 25.4~27.2 GB, depending on selected components)
  • Installation takes ~1 hour (depending on your system)
  • After-install integrity check so you could make sure that everything installed properly
  • HDD space after installation: up to 58 GB
  • The game language is selected automatically based on your OS settings
  • At least 2 GB of free RAM (inc. virtual) required for installing this repack
  • After installation, first run the crack installer from desktop icon. After that you can use an actual game desktop icon to run the game
  • If the crack doesn’t work for you, reinstall Windows Store, Xbox and Xbox Identity applications, turn on Developer Mode, turn off Hyper-V support and then run “Install Crack.bat” in game root to reactive the crack
  • Use .BAT-files in game root to replace checkpoint save files. By using them you can start new game not from the beginning, but from the last place you’ve been playing at
Game Description
Gears of War returns, stunningly remastered and modernized for Windows 10 with up to 4K resolution and unlocked refresh rates. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for Windows 10 is loaded with content including five campaign chapters not on the Xbox 360 version.
Selective Download

You can skip downloading of files you don’t need. Here is the list of optional/selective files (you need [b]at least one language pack[/b] downloaded):

  • fg-selective-english.bin (also required for all languages w/o their own speech)
  • fg-selective-brazilian.bin
  • fg-selective-french.bin
  • fg-selective-german.bin
  • fg-selective-italian.bin
  • fg-selective-mexican.bin
  • fg-selective-russian.bin
  • fg-selective-spanish.bin
  • fg-optional-attract-video.bin (simple advertising video)
  • fg-optional-mp-files.bin (multiplayer files for Online/LAN MP modes)

In example, if you want to launch the game with French UI/Subtitles/Voiceovers – skip all “selective/optional” files, but download [b]fg-selective-french.bin[/b] & all main (01-14) files.

Running the Game - Complete Instructions
  • NOTE! This game works ONLY on Windows 10 x64, build 1803. I also recommend you to install Windows Store, Xbox and Xbox Identity applications for crack to work.   • Windows virtualization (Hyper-V Support) must be set off either in OS settings and/or in BIOS
  • Developer Mode must be turned on your OS. My installer tries to turn it on automatically, but if fails, make sure to turn it on manually
  • If you don’t uncheck the option in the installer, the crack will automatically apply after final files verification
  • If you unckecked the option, you must run the crack manually from the desktop icon
  • After the crack applied, GOW will appear on your Start Menu – you can drag the game to desktop and make a shortcut icon. Or you can use an existing game icon if you wish
  • If the crack still doesn’t work – something is off with reqirements listed above: Windows version, dev.mode, etc.
  • Upon the first launch the game will ask you for folder to keep saves in. You either create a new subfolder, like “GOW” or use any existing folder
